Honorary Principal – Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis

The Honorary Principal of the school, Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, helps to set the religious direction of the school and provides guidance in the event of any halachic questions arising.

Born and raised in South Africa, Rabbi Mirvis studied and received his smicha in Israel.

In the past he has been Chief Rabbi of Ireland and Chairman of the Rabbinical Council of the United Synagogue. He is currently the Rabbi of Finchley Synagogue and Director of the Kinloss Learning Centre. In December 2012 he was appointed Chief Rabbi elect.

Honorary President - Benjamin Perl MBE

The Honorary President of the school, Benjamin Perl MBE, is the Chair of the Huntingdon Foundation, which purchased the school's current premises in February 2008.

Born in Israel, Mr Perl has resided in London for over 40 years. His business is headquartered in Huntingdon, Cambs, where he became a close personal friend of former Prime Minister Sir John Major. That friendship was instrumental in enabling Mr Perl to launch his “Towards 20 Schools” initiative in 1991. Since then, Mr Perl has more than reached his goal, establishing Jewish schools in London and beyond.

In addition to Morasha, Mr Perl is proud to be Honorary President of Yavneh College in Borehamwood, Beis Yaakov Primary School in Colindale, and Bnos Primary School in Kingsbury.

His continuing support and advice remains invaluable to Sacks Morasha.
